The Aussie Racing Cars series started in 1996 and was developed into a full series in 2001. Since then it’s popularity has grown year over year as more racers have got involved in the series.

The Aussie Racing Cars enjoy television coverage as part of the V8 Supercars broadcast.

In 2011, the series received the following coverage,

  • 8 LIVE races on Network 7
  • 12 post produced Aussie Racing Cars branded television programs on 7Mate and on Foxtel
  • 240 minutes of programming on Free-to-air television!
  • Minimum of 500 minutes of racing action televised on Foxtel (key races will be re-played several times on Speed)
